Welcome to handle with care!

handle with care is a newsletter by Chelsea Quezada.

I’m a freelance culture writer from Southern California, but I’m mostly a 25-year-old girl who is constantly online and has lots of opinions. That brings me here! Meet my baby, handle with care: a space for me to talk about my pop culture obsessions, celebrity crushes, and inner machinations.

What kind of content should I expect?

handle with care is my outlet to dive deeper into the silly things I’m interested in. It’ll be a fun email you won’t dread opening! I want to give you my Bachelor franchise commentary, updates on my celebrity crushes, and tell you about the time I fell off a bike and an Olympic cyclist helped me up.

Examples of current content:

  • Pop culture news

  • Music, TV, and film commentary

  • Hot takes and deep dives

  • Personal anecdotes

  • Monthly favorites

What does “handle with care” even mean?

The phrase is really a reminder to be gentler to myself, and to do things that really make me feel fulfilled. Also, it’s cute when cardboard boxes say it. (Also, I would love for everyone to be nice to me… that should be a rule!) I’m learning so much about myself and my relationships, and sometimes it’s overwhelming. I am trying to give myself the grace that I (sometimes undeservedly) give to others. And that’s just adulthood from now on I guess!

Now for housekeeping!

handle with care will arrive in your inbox on Sundays at noon PST. I can be reached on Twitter for any thoughts or if you want to say hi!
